While here in the frozen north we may still be grateful for features like windshield wiper de-icers and winter tires, warmer weather is on the way, and with it some of the best sports cars for 2017. We’re particularly stoked about new Ford Shelby Mustang. While we’re not sure that this supercar will be joining our selection of new Ford Mustang muscle-cars here at Broadway Automotive, it’s still fun to look at the 2017 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang release date and the exciting new features coming out for the new model year.

Going on sale this June, the 2017 Shelby Mustang will offer plenty of new advantages for drivers who want premium performance and style. For example, the Track Package previously only available as an add-on for this elite vehicle will be standard for 2017. The Shelby GT350 will now come standard with aluminum tower-to-tower brace, a high-downforce spoiler, the MagneRide dampening system, and engine oil, transmission and differential coolers.
In addition to performance enhancements for the track, the 2017 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang will offer new color and infotainment options. Deep Impact Blue and Competition Orange will be replaced by Ruby Red Metallic, Lightning Blue, and Grabber Blue exterior colors, while SYNC 3, voice-controlled navigation, and a nine-speaker audio system upgrade will be available in two different packages: the Electronics Package and Convenience Package.
With the Convenience Package, drivers of the 2017 Shelby Mustang will also have the ability to switch out the standard Recaro seats with leather trimmed power sport seats.
