Looking for a guilt-free way to enjoy eating your weight in mashed potatoes? We have a solution for you – this year, Festival Foods is once again hosting its annual Turkey Trot race, giving you the perfect opportunity to burn some extra calories in time for your gravy overload.
The race will be taking place on Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 23), so be sure to register ahead of time to avoid last-minute registration fees. Those who register before November 20th pay $25 for adult participants and $20 for participants under 18. Adults who register after November 20th pay $30 and participants under 18 cost $25.
Split into two different events, entrees have the choice between a timed 5-mile run and a 2-mile run/walk. Strollers and dogs are welcome on the 2-mile walk as part of the Dog Jog but are not allowed in the 5-mile run.
Both courses begin at Shopko Hall Next to the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI and the races will begin at 8 am sharp, giving you plenty of time to finish before dinner. Participants are encouraged to pick up their racing shirts and bibs at Shopko Hall on November 22 between 2-6 pm. They can also be picked up before the race starting at 6:30 am.
Proceeds from the 2017 Festival Foods Green Bay Turkey Trot will go to our local Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA.
