Equipped with R-tuned 2.0L TSI®, 16-valve, DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with intercooler and FSI®, the 2022 Volkswagen Golf R can deliver a jaw-dropping 315 hp at 6000 rpm and 280 lb.-ft. of torque at 3000 rpm. This engine is coupled with the available 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and the newly developed, R-performance 4MOTION® all-wheel-drive with torque vectoring system. Ultra-fast shifting using paddle shifters and XDS + Cross Differential System with dynamic traction support for increased precision in hard cornering makes the 2022 Volkswagen Golf R a true performance beast. To give better handling and control, the DCC® adaptive chassis control system is also in place.
